Trakindo Achieved 106 Influential Companies in the Communication Sector by PR Indonesia Magazine

PT Trakindo Utama (Trakindo), a provider of Cat® heavy equipment solutions in Indonesia, made a prestigious achievement in the field of public relations and communications by successfully winning two awards at the same time in the top agenda of Sewindu, PR Indonesia magazine with the theme "Sewindu We Serve, for National Communication" in Jakarta, Friday (21/9).

Trakindo's achievements include being included in 106 Influential Companies and Agencies in the Communication Sector in the Private Company category, as well as the Top 50 Indonesian Public Relations Kartini in 2023 for Trakindo's Corporate Communication & CSR Manager, Candy Sihombing. This is also the result of the implementation of the spirit of "Advancing You Forward", especially in optimizing communication carried out by the company with all stakeholders, customers and the community.

This is the first initiative in Indonesia, where extraordinary women in the Indonesian public relations field are honored and appreciated for their inspiring contributions and performance in the world of communications. Corporate Communication & CSR Manager Trakindo, Candy Sihombing, expressed his appreciation for the award received by Trakindo, where winning this award is proof of the success of Trakindo's corporate communications. "It is an honor for Trakindo to be selected as an influential company in the communications sector. "Winning this award is also a manifestation of the company's commitment to continuing to strive to build a positive image based on the spirit of Advancing You Forward to business stakeholders and society," Candy said.

On this occasion, Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie was also present and gave his speech, conveying the good news, namely the growth in the value of the Global PR industry which will continue to increase significantly in 2023, namely to US 107 billion. "This growth shows that the role of PR is becoming broader and more strategic, and its existence is increasingly being taken into account," he said.

In line with the Minister of Communication and Information's statement, Founder and CEO of PR INDONESIA Group, Asmono Wikan, explained the journey of PR Indonesia which examines the activities and dynamics of PR, as well as being a witness to a profession that continues to grow from time to time. Until finally, the institutional positioning of PR was gradually seen as important and became the strategic function of management as it is now. "We have witnessed the ups and downs of thousands of PR practitioners, to convince their respective management of the importance of placing PR as a strategic management function," explained Asmono.

The Sewindu PR Indonesia awards event itself is part of a series of anniversary events for PR Indonesia, which has been on an eight-year journey. Starting from the PR Summit which started in the morning until the afternoon, and closed with a celebration and awards event. In the selection process, hundreds of companies and female PR practitioners in Indonesia were assessed directly based on their reputation and active involvement in the field of communications by looking at the candidates' portfolios, contributions and achievements.
