Trakindo Strengthens Support for Sumatra’s Recovery

Trakindo, Indonesia’s provider of Caterpillar heavy equipment solutions, has delivered a second phase of humanitarian assistance to communities affected by floods and landslides in several areas of Sumatra. This initiative follows the initial emergency response and reflects Trakindo’s continued commitment to supporting long-term post-disaster recovery through cross-sector collaboration.

Yulia Yasmina, Chief Administration Officer of Trakindo, emphasized that collaboration is essential to ensuring effective and sustainable assistance. In line with Trakindo’s Advancing You Forward spirit, the Company remains committed to standing alongside communities not only during the emergency phase, but throughout the recovery process.

In this extended phase, Trakindo strengthened its collaboration with customers, Tiara Marga Trakindo Group (TMT), and humanitarian organization Dompet Dhuafa. The assistance includes the provision of essential supplies such as food, cooking equipment, school supplies, baby necessities, and hygiene and health support. Trakindo and its customers also deployed heavy equipment to clear disaster debris and reopen access roads, helping to restore mobility and accelerate recovery efforts.

The distribution of aid is carried out in stages and adjusted to on-ground conditions to ensure relevance and impact. Together with its partners, Trakindo will continue to monitor developments in affected areas and coordinate further support as needed to contribute to a sustainable recovery.
