Trakindo Plants 3,000 Mangrove Seedlings to Advance Environmental Sustainability

.

As part of its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development, Trakindo launched a mangrove planting initiative by holding a ceremonial planting of 3,000 mangrove seedlings at Angke Mangrove Ecotourism Park, North Jakarta, on July 9, 2026.

The initiative is part of Trakindo's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program under its Environmental pillar, which focuses on environmental conservation and strengthening ecosystem resilience. A total of 3,000 mangrove seedlings will be planted across three strategic locations: Pulau Harapan in the Thousand Islands, Jakarta; Tanjung Pakis in Karawang, West Java; and Dompak in the Riau Islands. Through this initiative, Trakindo aims to support the preservation of Indonesia's coastal ecosystems while creating sustainable value for both the environment and local communities.

In collaboration with CarbonEthics, Trakindo is extending its commitment beyond the planting phase by carrying out continuous maintenance and monitoring to ensure the seedlings thrive and deliver long-term environmental benefits.

Mangroves were selected for their vital role in maintaining ecosystem balance and supporting climate change mitigation. As one of the most effective nature-based solutions, mangrove ecosystems can absorb and store significantly more carbon than terrestrial forests. They also help protect coastlines from erosion, maintain the health of coastal ecosystems, and provide essential habitats for diverse species that support the livelihoods of coastal communities.

Through this mangrove planting initiative, Trakindo continues to strengthen its commitment to creating sustainable value for the environment and society. Every seedling planted represents collaboration, care, and a long-term investment in building a greener, more resilient, and sustainable future.

Trakindo believes that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Through continued collaboration with various stakeholders, the Company remains committed to delivering meaningful contributions to environmental conservation and sustainable development in Indonesia.
