Trakindo Hosts Global Operator Challenge 2025

Trakindo the authorized dealer of Caterpillar heavy equipment in Indonesia, successfully held the Cat Global Operator Challenge (GOC) 2025 in Palembang. The biennial competition brought together 27 of Indonesia’s best operators, serving as a platform to enhance skills and strengthen competitiveness at the global level.

Trakindo Sumatra General Manager, Heintje Sekeh, emphasized that GOC is more than just a competition, but also a commitment to developing top talent and driving industry progress. “In line with our spirit of Advancing You Forward, this event enhances operator capabilities, who are the key to project success, while igniting the spirit to compete on the world stage,” he said.

Participants faced challenges that tested their skills, efficiency, and ability to leverage the latest Caterpillar technologies such as Cat Payload and Grade Control. The competition also received appreciation from customers, who recognized it as a valuable platform to sharpen both the competence and professionalism of Indonesian operators.

Winners from Indonesia will advance to the regional semifinals in Japan at the end of 2025, followed by the Grand Final in Las Vegas in March 2026. This global event involves more than 40 countries, with the champion awarded USD 10,000 in cash or a trip for two to a Caterpillar facility worldwide.
