Trakindo Consistency in Encouraging National Heavy Equipment Education

Again, Trakindo provided 3 types of practical learning media for Heavy Equipment Engineering students at SMKN 2 Dumai

Education is the main thing in cultivating the readiness of the future generation, and has its own challenges according to their respective levels and fields, including Heavy Equipment Engineering. The immediate challenge faced in this field is the need for special learning media tools such as heavy equipment components to be able to carry out direct practice for each polytechnic. Realizing this, PT Trakindo Utama (Trakindo), as the provider of Cat® heavy equipment solutions in Indonesia, Trakind provided learning media assistance to SMKN 2 Dumai, to support quality improvement and graduates in the Heavy Equipment Engineering skills program.

On this occasion, Trakindo donated practical learning media for TAB students at SMKN 2 Dumai in the form of; 1 C18 Engine Unit, 1 Torque Converter Unit, 1 Final Drive Unit. With the C18 engine and Powertrain components at TAB SMKN 2 Dumai, it is hoped that students will be more enthusiastic and the teaching and learning process will be smoother, especially in the subjects of heavy equipment Engine Units and Heavy Equipment Powertrain and Undercarriage. The handover of this learning media was given directly by Mr. Abdul Malik as Branch Manager of Trakindo Utama Pekanbaru to the Principal of SMKN 2 Dumai, Zulkarnaen NST, S.Pd., MT. accompanied by the Head of the Heavy Equipment Engineering Skills Program Mr. Suriyadi, S.Pd. Gr. which is located at Trakindo Utama Pekanbaru Jl. Soekarno - Hatta No.36, West Labuh Baru., Kec. Payung Sekaki, Pekanbaru City, Riau.

 

The Branch Manager of Trakindo Utama Pekanbaru opened the procession by welcoming and conveying the hope behind the donation to TAB SMKN 2 Dumai. Abdul Malik as Branch Manager of Trakindo Utama Pekanbaru said in his speech that "The engines and components donated are units that still have material value, they can even reach 7500 USD. Hopefully the presence of this new learning media can also provide additional ammunition for educators in teaching." so that it becomes one of the processes of producing capable students," said Malik.

 

SMKN 2 Dumai itself is one of Trakindo's CO-OP Vocational Schools which always collaborates and coordinates with Trakindo Pekanbaru branch in improving the quality of education and improving the quality of graduates. Through CO-OP programs, Trakindo provides facilities to TAB SMKN 2 Dumai, starting from accepting new students, guest teachers, OJT students, to assessment and recruitment. Not only that, previously Trakindo had also donated 1 unit of 3 ton forklift to support learning in schools.

 

Principal of SMKN 2 Dumai Zulkarnaen NST, S.Pd., MT. would like to express our gratitude for the support that Trakindo has provided and hopes that this collaboration can continue and become even better in the future. "The Ministry of Education has launched industrial classes in the near future, but Trakindo has built it 20 years ago with SMKN 2 Dumai. "Starting from the process of accepting new students, OJT students and teachers, the learning process in the form of guest teachers, scholarships and recruitment, therefore we would like to thank you, because there has been a lot of support consistently given to SMKN 2 Dumai," said Zulkarnaen.
