HSE Briefing at Politeknik Negeri Samarinda

As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between industry and education, PT Trakindo Utama participated in a guest lecture session at Politeknik Negeri Samarinda. The initiative aimed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles before entering the workforce.

The HSE session was delivered by the SHE Department Team of Trakindo Samarinda to students from the Heavy Equipment Engineering Department as preparation prior to their On Job Training (OJT) or internship program.

The session, entitled “Fundamentals of OHSE and Its Implementation in the Workplace,” provided an overview of essential OHSE principles, including hazard identification, risk assessment and control, as well as the systematic application of safety standards within the heavy equipment sector. Beyond conceptual discussion, participants were also exposed to practical examples and industry best practices implemented across the company’s operations.

Through this initiative, students are expected to be better prepared to face workplace challenges while upholding safety, health, and environmental responsibility as integral aspects of professionalism.
