Handover of the 9999th Cat® D8 Medium Type Track Unit to Jhonlin Group

PT Trakindo Utama (Trakindo) has once again proven its service quality by being selected globally to distribute a special Track Type Medium (TTMD) of the Dozer Cat® D8 9999th production. This success also proves that Trakindo's service quality that consistently provides the best experience to customers has been recognized at the world level. The ceremonial handover ceremony of the 9999th Dozer Cat® D8TTMD unit was held in Rayong, Thailand and was attended directly by representatives of Caterpillar Global and Trakindo, as well as representatives of Jhonlin Group as recipients of the special edition unit.

Trakindo Southern Kalimantan General Manager Faisal Kusuma expressed his pride in the selection of Trakindo as a Caterpillar dealer to distribute the 9999th Caterpillar Special Edition Truck Type Medium. "It is an honor for us, were globally, Trakindo as a Caterpillar dealer in Indonesia can be selected to distribute the special edition heavy equipment unit. Of course, Caterpillar itself is very selective and makes deep considerations to choose Trakindo to receive a special award like this. This shows that Trakindo as a Caterpillar dealer in Indonesia is able to maintain the quality of support provided to customers, so customers choose to establish a partnership with Trakindo," explained Faisal.

 

Caterpillar Global Construction & Infrastructure Territory Manager Karthikeyan Prabakar explained that Indonesia is an important region for Medium Tractor Products. For this reason, Caterpillar highly values the long-term partnership with Trakindo and chose Trakindo to offer this special edition unit to its customers. "The number 9999 is considered a lucky number in Thailand because it is pronounced similar to the word meaning 'Keep Moving On'. Therefore, we chose the 9999th unit to be handed over to customers in Indonesia because it contains a positive meaning and looks forward to continuing to work with customers to support their business growth," explained Karthik.

 

The handover of the special edition units took place at the Caterpillar facility in Rayong, Thailand to provide customers with a hands-on experience through demonstrations of the manufacturing process and quality control of Caterpillar units. Further regarding the selection of Jhonlin Group as the recipient of the 9999th special edition of Truck Type Medium units, Faisal also added that Jhonlin Group is one of Trakindo's best customers who is also the largest user of Dozer Cat® D8units in Indonesia, especially in the last three years. "The appointment of Jhonlin Group as the recipient of this special unit is a manifestation of Trakindo's continuous commitment to continue to support the progress of customers' businesses. Moreover, Jhonlin Group is a company with quite rapid business development in many business fields. Therefore, we hope that this partnership can be even closer in the future," added Faisal.

 

President Director of Jhonlin Baratama Daud Kala Bombang revealed the plan that will be carried out with the 9999th unit. "We are very honored and grateful to Trakindo and Caterpillar because we are entrusted with receiving a unit with a special serial number and meaning, which is 9999. We plan to propose this unit to the owner of the Jhonlin Group so that it can be used as a monument in the main workshop, of course after this unit operates optimally and reaches 9,999 hours of operational hours," said Daud.

 

This special Dozer unit with the Cat® D8 series is one of Caterpillar's flagship products designed specifically for various customer business needs with solid raking performance and easy maintenance. Various advantages are also embedded, starting from the standard capacity of the Semi Universal Blade measuring 10.3 cubic, and can also be equipped with a Coal Blade configuration (21 cubic), and CWT which is able to move 13% more material.
