Handover of CAT® 5 Dozer D10 and 3 Motor Grader 18 Rental Units to PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia

As a company that offers Caterpillar heavy equipment solutions, Trakindo also offers Rental solutions as one of the service options to customers in various industries for Caterpillar® heavy equipment needs. In mining, the collaboration between Trakindo and PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia (TCI) has been established since 2020, in the form of Rental services for 2 Excavator CAT® 320 GC and 7 Compactor CAT® CS10GC. These units are used for customer operational activities in the maintenance of coal transportation roads located in Separi, Mahakam Sumber Jaya (MSJ) Kukar Site, Tenggarong Seberang District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan.

To support the increase in production, in August 2024 PT TCI will increase the number of rental units, as many as 5 Dozer CAT® D10 and 3 Motor Grader CAT® 18 which will be used in coal getting activities. Currently, the total rental is 16 units used to support PT TCI's operational needs. The handover was marked by a handover ceremony carried out by Trakindo Separi Branch to PT TCI on Monday, August 5, 2024. The simple ceremony is also a gathering place, and with the presence of management from both parties is a form of commitment to support each other's progress.

In his remarks, Deputy Manager of PT TCI Site Separi Peter Saputra expressed his appreciation and hopes.  "With the performance of Caterpillar units which is certainly undoubted, it can definitely support us in optimizing production," he said.

The same thing was conveyed by PT TCI Plant Manager Yohannes Jimmy, "Our appreciation and gratitude to the Trakindo Site Separi team for the unit handover ceremony carried out.  We hope that this additional rental unit can improve the presentation of the physical availibility (PA) of our support units," he added.

"Thank you for entrusting Trakindo to be one of the partners in fulfilling the needs of heavy equipment.  Hopefully this meeting will further strengthen the cooperative relationship between Trakindo and PT TCI which is marked by the handover machine rental machine activity which was held for the first time at PT TCI Site Separi," said General Operations Manager of Samarinda Mining Area Hananto Bentar.
