First in Indonesia, Trakindo delivers the CAT® MD6250 unit equipped with MineStar™ Terrain and Operator Machine Assist

Trakindo's ongoing commitment to supporting the growth of its customers' businesses and the development of Indonesia's mining industry.

Trakindo proudly presents the Cat® MD6250, the first rotary drill unit in Indonesia equipped with MineStar™ Terrain and Operator Machine Assist, to support the operations of PT Thiess Contractor Indonesia (Thiess). Designed with advanced technology, this equipment offers high precision, optimal efficiency, and enhanced safety, marking a significant step forward in the digital transformation of the mining industry. The ceremonial handover event was held at the Separi Site, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, and was attended by representatives from Trakindo and Thiess."

Azkhwaldi Aziz, General Manager of Northern Kalimantan at Trakindo, explained that this collaboration aligns with the company's commitment, “Advancing You Forward”, where Trakindo consistently supports the productivity improvement of its customers, particularly in the mining industry. The Cat® MD6250 rotary drill unit, equipped with MineStar™ Terrain and Operator Machine Assist, is the first of its kind in Indonesia. Additionally, this unit features a world-class operator cabin that offers numerous advantages. In terms of drilling, this unit is capable of drilling hole diameters ranging from 165-250 mm (6.5-9.875 in) and is optimized for both single-pass and multi-pass drilling, in both Rotary and DTH (Down The Hole) modes. With the combination of MineStar™ Terrain and Operator Machine Assist, the Cat® MD6250 provides a more efficient, precise, safe, and cost-effective drilling solution, making it an ideal choice for the modern mining industry.
