Preparing Nation's Next Generation to Be Ready for the Future

Quality human resources begins with quality education. Trakindo believes education is the foundation for building competent and ethical future generation. The educational assistance program implemented by Trakindo is holistic, starting from Elementary School, Junior High School (SMP), Vocational High School (SMK), to Higher Education. 

 

At the elementary school level, the Education Program for the elementary school level is still continuing, but there are changes in terms of quantity from Trakindo's target schools. Now, Trakindo having 30 elementary schools that will continue to experience our education program this year. This year's training program is a continuous program from the previous year. This year's theme is environmental health and a series of programs this year include increasing the capacity of school governance in the application of strengthening character education, skills and culture of environmental health insight innovation (UKS Revitalization), designing and implementing CBL (Challenge Based Learning) learning with environmental health insight, developing learning media with environmental health insight. Teachers and education staff will also be equipped with environmental education webinars, how to develop CBL (Challenge Based Learning) learning good practice videos that focus on environmental health insights, online mentoring by facilitators, mobilizing teacher meetings and as the highlight of the program is meeting innovator students.

At the junior high school level, as part of the roadmap for education sustainability  program, this year a new journey began at the junior high school level. This year it was held in 5 new assisted junior high schools of Trakindo. The location is where our SMK CO-OP is located, so that the function of this junior high school as a bridge between the elementary level to the vocational level, can be realized. These five junior high schools are located in Lubuk Pakam, Singosari Malang, Balikpapan, Samarinda and West Sumbawa. The first term this year is 5 junior high schools, and in 2023 there will be 5 more junior high schools that become Trakindo's target schools. The first phase of training has been completed in the five schools, and 100 teachers from the 5 junior high schools have been coached.

Trakindo's dedication to advancing Indonesian education is also carried out sustainably in vocational education at the Vocational High School level and higher education. Since 1996, Trakindo has pioneered education development in Heavy Equipment Engineering. Through the CO-OP Education Program, Trakindo is committed to contributing in preparing the nation's next generation to become a ready-to-work and quality workforce.

Trakindo understands the importance of synergistic collaboration between stakeholders to create a superior educational ecosystem and quality learning. Therefore, in carrying out the CO-OP Education Program, Trakindo provides access to heavy equipment engineering education which is in line with the "Partnership and Alignment with the Business and Industrial World (DUDI)" movement promoted by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.

Until 2022, the CO-OP program has fostered 8 Vocational High Schools and 6 Polytechnics majoring in Heavy Equipment Engineering in various locations in Indonesia through a number of development programs that “Link & Match” with the government's 8+I package, such as; formulation of curriculum and skill sets, guest teachers, On-the-Job Training, mentoring of teaching and learning activities, donation of practical aids and literature references, development of character values, hard skill and soft skill training for lecturer, competency certificates, Technical Skills Competency Competition Heavy Equipment (K3TAB), up to the provision of scholarships.

Trakindo is proud to have been part of the progress of Indonesian education. Until the end of 2022, the CO-OP Education Program has benefited more than 4,700 graduates majoring in Heavy Equipment Engineering, as well as more than 200 scholarship program participants who have continued their education at the Heavy Equipment Engineering Polytechnic.
