Building Excellent Mining Talent Through Heavy Equipment Support

Strengthening mining education, PT Trakindo Utama partners with PT Freeport Indonesia to equip IPN with industry-standard excavator.

As an industry partner that believes in the power of vocational education, PT Trakindo Utama (Trakindo) takes pride in directly contributing to the development of competencies among Papua’s younger generation. In collaboration with PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI), one unit of industry-standard Cat 330D excavator was officially handed over to the Nemangkawi Mining Institute (IPN) on March 27, 2025.

IPN is a technical training institute owned by PTFI that plays a strategic role in preparing job-ready local talent for the mining sector. This handover is part of PT ABC’s ongoing commitment to supporting the advancement of vocational education and technical training in the mining industry, particularly in Papua.

By providing heavy equipment used in actual mining operations, trainees now have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience—developing technical skills that are directly aligned with industry needs.
The delivery of this excavator underscores Trakindo’s dedication to enhancing the quality of training infrastructure at IPN. By providing equipment that mirrors what is used in actual mining operations, trainees gain the opportunity to engage in practical, hands-on learning experiences—building technical capabilities that are directly aligned with current industry demands.
